Sending our sincere sympathy from Mayo Abbey, Ireland to you Mike, Frank, Cathy and Margaret and extended family on the passing of your dear wife, mother and grandmother Patricia. Affectionately known to us all here in Ireland as Pat. Our friendship started with Pat going back to the early 1980s when she came over to her cottage in Mayo Abbey, arriving with linen and lace and set about adorning the cottage with all things beautiful. It was her little treasure, a place of peace and tranquillity where she enjoyed entertaining all her Irish cousins, neighbours and her friends from the USA who came over on occasions. She visited our home on most evenings, where we had a great time relating stories of the past. She loved the history of Ireland and it's folklore. We sat around the fireside having the odd glass of whiskey which added greatly to the stories! We introduced her to all her Irish cousins and she got to know them over the years, also attended to the occasional Irish wedding she enjoyed so much. She was a beautiful gracious lady. She was kind and caring and radiated love to anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her. Our lives have been enriched by knowing her and the lovely visits with us here in Mayo Abbey. Dear Mike, Frank, Kathleen, Margaret and the extended Flynn family. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Pat. Such a wonderful, kind and generous lady. I have such fond memories of Pat’s yearly visits to Mayo with Mike, and as a child the amazing Parcels from America. I was the best dressed girl in Mayo! I also had the pleasure of visiting America staying in Pat and Mike’s beautiful home, and given the most wonderful tours of California. I will never forget our 7 hour roadtrip with Pat to Disneyland Los Angeles with my cousin Maggie, we had such a great time, We are thinking of you at this sad time, Thoughts and prayers, Colette, Timmy and family
