Kris and I were roommates for a while at Cal - she was always up for a fun prank, (like walking around Berkeley in our scuba diving gear, or aiding and abeting the sorority sisters who "kidnapped" me in the middle of the night) but she had a wonderful, gentle soul. We went to the SF opera together until it became too much for her - always loving our purloined (in her purse) pre-opera FREE meals.
