Oh I remember when Ellie dropped off a gorgeous chocolate cake for Elliot in the middle of one of our doctoral seminars - I can't recall if it was for a birthday or anniversary, but I know for sure what I thought in the moment: "That's love." It was inspiring. May her memory be a blessing, may their spirits be reunited.
Dear extended Eisner family, Please accept my deepest condolences for the loss of such a kind and gracious woman. I was deeply touched by Ellie's welcoming and inclusive way of hosting "arts-based strangers" in her home and deftly orchestrating wonderful evenings. Subsequent encounters were equally memorable. She and Elliot complemented each other so gracefully and fluidly. Every moment was a privilege.
Ellie offered to help with flowers for our wedding in 2004. She drove with me to show me how the SF flower market worked and I have such fond memories of chatting all the way there and back. And they still gave us another present! She shared love with so many people. May her memory be a blessing.
Goodbye, Ellie. Such nice memories of being with you and Elliott at Stanford events. I believe your life and work made a difference. Condolences from the Bridges family.
