Lasting Memories
Sandra Marie Angelina Couch
Sept. 11, 1949-Jan. 9, 2024
Santa Clara, California
Our beloved Sandra Marie Angelina Piccone Couch passed at the age of 74 on January 9, 2024 at 2:15am after a heartbreaking battle with Alzheimer’s.
She has joined her cherished Daddy, Edward Cesido Piccone Sr., aunt Loretta Hall, sister Margie Rector and adored brother in laws James (Nicky) Kokalis and James (Jim) Brockett who proceeded her in death.
Born September 11, 1949 in San Francisco, California she was a firecracker just like her signature red hair. Sandi was raised in Palo Alto with her siblings, by a single father until Sydell (Krueger) Piccone became her Ma in 1974.
The birth of her son, David in 1974, was the highlight of her life and the driving force for all she did. When her granddaughter, Alea was born in 2011, that force was again renewed and being a mother and Nonie meant everything to her. She also grew very close to her bonus grandson Kaden Burr-Hendry, who was very near to her heart.
Sandi had a special relationship with her niece Jennifer (Vogel) Tarahteeff, who she considered a daughter. Jennifer was by her side until the end.
Sandi worked her way up at Silicon Valley tech firms and retired to enjoy her cherished friendships, spend time with her grand daughter, beloved dog Bhodi, and the family she adored. She truly loved each of us like her own, and we felt like the center of her world. We all loved her deeply.
Sandi was the heartbeat of her family, and with a brother and 6 sisters, that was no easy feat. Her son, David Couch, grand daughter Alea Burr-Couch, Ma, Sydell Piccone and living sisters; Barbara Kokalis, Linda Piccone-Grigsby, Viki Piccone-Flagel, Debbi Piccone-Breaux, Lisa Brockett and her brother Edward Piccone Jr., along with their spouses, children and grandchildren are grieving this heavy loss. She was exceptional, inclusive and held everyone close to her heart.
Sandy was a dear friend and I was saddened to hear of her passing. My heartfelt condolences to David and the rest of her family lovingly Doug Anderson
