Monica Egger passed away with her daughters by her side on December 31, 2023.

She was born and raised in Zug, Switzerland. In 1967, eager for adventure as newlyweds, she and her husband, Hermann Egger, moved to the US where they happily settled in Palo Alto for the rest of their lives. Together they raised two daughters, Pia Lusk (Mike) and Susi Egger (Matt), and were grandparents of six. Over the years Monica worked for Hyatt Ricky’s/Hyatt Cabana, was an active member of the Peninsula Swiss Club, and enjoyed Thursday morning bowling with her league.

Monica will be remembered for her inner strength and quick wit. Her many talents included gardening, sewing and knitting, baking beloved Swiss goodies, and cooking incredible meals. She was kind and very generous with her love and her time. She will be sorely missed.
