Andrew John Paisley

Andrew John Paisley (Andy), 57 was born in Oakland, CA and grew up in Palo Alto, CA. He died September 25th after a brave fight with early onset Alzheimer's in Hospice of the Valley in Phoenix AZ. He is survived by his loving, caregiving wife Roberta K. Paisley of Cave Creek, AZ; his mother Lorna M. Paisley of Palo Alto; his father, William Paisley (Matilda Butler Paisley) of Corvallis, OR; and three step brothers, Ken Rees of Dallas, TX, Edward Rees Maxwell of Eugene, OR; William Butler Paisley of West Linn, OR; Surviving also are his two sons, Kyle Paisley and Christopher Paisley (Sara) of Evansville, IN; his stepson Brock Boehme (Sasha) of Fort Wayne, IN; grandchildren Thaine and Braeden Boehme of Fort Wayne, IN; Vivian Rose of Evansville IN and his first wife Angela Hall of Evansville, IN; his aunt Cecile and Uncle William Williams of Orange, NH and cousins Gwen, Jennifer and William Jr.

Andy graduated from Gunn High School. He was a lifeguard during summers at most of the pools around Palo Alto. He loved biking and spent time bike racing. He enlisted in the US Army in the First Battalion Airborne 508 Infantry as a tactical wire installer operator in Panama and served 1986-88. After leaving the army, he started his own tree service company in Cromwell, IN and then went into the IT field working as a consultant in several companies ending up with a start up which was bought by Dell. While working with Dell he traveled around the world to London, Bangkok, and Prague.

When he moved to Arizona, he enjoyed hiking in the Grand Canyon with his step brothers and hiking with his wife and dog in and around the mountains in Sedona. His loving heart, dry wit, and presence will be greatly missed.

I knew Andy starting fifty years ago. We went To El Carmelo school and actually shared a cabin at YMCA camp one year. I have often thought about those days in elementary school. Very good times. In the afternoons we would be over at Hoover and Andy ...

Memorial service
The Memorial Service will be held at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Palo Alto at a future date.
